A special water project
You go from the historic part of Nijmegen to the Spiegelwaal. This is the name of the side channel that gives space to the Waal at high tide. The guide explains why and how this mega hydraulic engineering project was carried out and connects this new acquisition with the history of Nijmegen. It is a tough walk of about 5 km and not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
